I just absolutely adore Hannah & Brennan! They are high school sweethearts and are just so sweet together! They did their engagement pictures at Lake Hodges in Escondido and the pictures were beautifully captured by a husband and wife team We Heart Photography. Jacob & Christin did such a wonderful job capturing the love between the two lovebirds. These pictures are just teasers so I can’t wait to see all the pictures when they are ready. Hannah & Brennan’s wedding will be my first wedding of 2013 and I’ve been having so much fun working with them and getting to know them and their families. The fun is just starting to begin, we are working on our floral appointments next (fun!) They will be getting married at one of my favorite venues, The Santaluz Club!
But for now enjoy the engagement pics!

For the last 2 years, I’ve started to get a lot of couples asking for all white flowers for their wedding! I do have to say, I have a soft spot in my heart for all white weddings. Something about it is so classic, and in my eyes it never goes out of style. However, some of my brides love color as well! So some of my brides opted to have an all white ceremony and save the color for their reception.
I just love the gorgeous white hydrangea that covers this pergola at Ponte Winery from Annie & Kevin’s wedding. For that extra detail, we had long dripping crystals strung from the pergola as well. The beautiful florals were by Suzan M Florals and the beautiful picture captured by Zelo Photography

I am so excited to have Sara C back in my boutique. Her clutches are absolutely gorgeous and they are all handmade by her. My favorite in her collection are her gorgeous Ostrich Feathers clutches! They come in White, Ivory, Black, and my favorite the Dove Grey. With all of the clutches, you get to pick the color of the lining of shantung silk of your choice and also have two line message embroidered inside. I just love feather clutches! Something about this is so airy and romantic! If you are incorporating feathers in your wedding, this clutch is a must have! What a beautiful keepsake that you can use again.
Also, if you happen to need one in a custom color, just shoot me an email and I’ll see if we are able to do it. Email: info@wynnaustincollection.com

David & Stephanie tied the knot last month at one of my favorite resorts in San Diego, The Grand Del Mar. It was a gorgeous wedding of gold hues, aubergine, ivory, with a touch of dark wood elements. David & Stephanie wrote their own vows, and they are probably one of the best vows I’ve ever heard. I can’t wait to see the pictures from the wedding by Megan & Brent of Studio Castillero!

Rancho Bernardo Inn Wedding Testimonial To Wedding Coordinator Wynn Austin
From Ashley:
Meeting and hiring Wynn Austin was the greatest decision my husband & I made during our 10 month wedding planning journey. She is not just a wedding planner, she has the personality that will suite any bride and vision. I was referred to her by a few friends of mine in the wedding industry, and let me say that she is a well sought after wedding planner and everyone loves her! She truly went above and beyond what I even thought was possible. Her designs, ideas, expertise, and quick responses to every last detailed question I had fall surpassed my expectations. Our wedding would have not been the same without her. From the minute we hired her to the week after the wedding, she was always there for whatever we needed. Not all brides have the luxury of saying that. I don’t know how she does everything she does, but she in my words is a brides blessing to the absolute perfect wedding! Because of her we were able to truly enjoy the greatest day of our life. She is guaranteed to not disappoint any couple, she will contribute more than you could ever imagine!
XoXo,
Ashley

I was so excited when Truc asked me to style her engagement shoot! She is so sweet and gorgeous so I knew we were going to have so much fun! She loves the soft romantic look so I decided to mimic the theme of her wedding which is Cherry Blossom inspired! We are so fortunate in San Diego, to have so many amazing places to take pictures. So the first place I picked for Truc & Chris was Balboa Park, but specifically the Japanese Friendship Garden. With some props and signs from my private collection and custom made monograms ( Made by me =) ) The pictures turned out absolutely adorable! Right after, we headed over to the new hottest restaurant in Del Mar, Burlap by Brian Malarkey! I came up with the idea because I just love the eccentric decor with that Asian flair!
The beautiful pictures were captured by my dear friends Gene Higa Photography & Braja Mandala of Mandala Weddings! All 5 of us had a blast, and in my world there is no such thing as all work & no play. So after, the pictures were done, we all dined there and enjoyed some fun drinks!

Hi Everyone,
Last week, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the The Grand Del Mar Wedding Experience 2012. For those who haven’t been to the hotel, you have to go! From the moment that you enter the lobby, the hotel transforms you to a whole different world. I just love all the European and Mediterranean architecture. When I got the invitation, I was beyond excited, and needless to say it was above and beyond what I expected! I’ve had the amazing opportunity to work and have weddings at The Grand Del Mar in the past, but coming to the resort as a guest is a completely different experience. When I arrived at the entrance and gave the guard my name and told him I was checking in, he asked for my name, and next thing you know when I pulled up the valet said “Welcome Mrs. Austin” Impressive! Right after when I got up to the desk to check in, they knew who I was instantly when I walked up. I love that, it definitely made me feel special!
After I checked in I had an appointment to get a spray tan with Plush Tan with the owner Danielle. She was a sweetheart and did an amazing job. I’m still nice and tan even though it’s raining outside at the moment. After my tan, I just relaxed and did some work in my hotel room (which was very big & plush) until some of my friends arrived. The first night, the big event was a surprised to all of us, so I didn’t know what to expect. After everyone arrived we had tray passed champagne & hors d’oeuvres while everyone mingled. Then we were all invited over to the Elizabeth Ballroom and the whole entire ballroom was transformed into an amazing carnival! It was amazing, everything from the music, the lighting, the plethora of fun carnival food, candy, & games! The event was put on by Paige Levy the Wedding Director at The Grand Del Mar in collaboration with Kathy Wright from Kathy Wright & Co.
The following day, we had the option to either have breakfast in our rooms or dine at the restaurants. I decided to head over to Amaya and had their Dungenous Crab Cake Eggs Benedict! (pretty much heaven) and then we were shuttled to The San Diego Zoo Safari Park for an adventure! That night we had our farewell dinner at The Grand Del Mar’s Fine Dining Restaurant Addison. It was a gorgeous night with fabulous food!
Thank You to Paige and the team at The Grand Del Mar for such an amazing experience!
XOXO,
Wynn

Hi Everyone!
First off! I’m so sorry for being behind on blogging =) It’s been a busy month, but that’s a good thing! The beginning of this month, I had the wonderful opportunity to be an exhibitor at the US Grant in downtown San Diego. If you haven’t been there, you need to go. It is absolutely the epitome of ultra chic luxury! Once a year they host one of the most amazing bridal show that I have ever participated in. When I started the design process I wanted to show my style and somehow my personality into the design. I love designing so many different styles, because when I work with a couple, I focus the design on my couple’s style & personality. After all, it’s the most memorable moment in their life! I know it’s cliche but it’s true, from that day of celebration is how their story begins.
I had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with Kathy Wright & Co (the amazing Kathy herself) in figuring where to start. I told her I loved the twilight wedding, I loved all the dangling white florals outside in the woods! She showed me an amazing custom table runner from Wildflower Linens that I just fell in love with. From the fabric inspiration we pretty much designed everything around that. I love fabrics that are highly textured (as you can tell this runner was). I have some chandeliers that I use for weddings, and I wrapped it in this natural bark with white damask paper to go with the fabric. I rented the wood table and bench from Pow Wow Vintage Rentals, they were the perfect size and super cute! I wanted the space to stand out and be cozy so I rented 4 large real ficus trees to surround the wood chuppah and I had them covered in twinkle lights (I love it! It reminds me of fireflies). The icing on the cake was the gorgeous menus & table sign designed and made by the lovely Jennifer of J.Grace Luxurious Event Stationary. They were so gorgeous, everyone that showed up had to touch and feel them! One of my favorite parts is the large calligraphy chalkboard! I made the chalkboard myself (first attempt!) and Jessica of Moira Ink calligraphy it for me. Isn’t she amazing? Okay, I’m sure you are tired of my rambling! Here are the professional pictures from the amazing Gene Higa Photography & Braja Mandala of Mandala Weddings!
P.S. The flowers by Kathy Wright was so beautiful, when her team put everything on the table I seriously teared up (I know, silly huh?) but seriously if those petals could talk…

Ashley & Matt are just the sweetest couple! They got married at the Rancho Bernardo Inn which is a gorgeous garden venue in San Diego. It is pretty well hidden, so I would say it’s a bit of a hidden gem but it’s a large property with beautiful green garden grounds (perfect for pictures) Ashley wanted a gorgeous formal garden wedding with an old hollywood flair by using black, white, and red for her wedding colors. They are also huge sport fanatics so we had to throw in some fun baseball touches in there!
The gorgeous florals are by Blush Botanicals and HUGE thank you to Bethann Greenberg for the gorgeous photos!

In keeping with the garden theme, we wanted to keep the wood elements by using the dark wood manzanita branches. We incorporated the baseball theme by having the escort cards look like baseball tickets. We had them placed on a bunch of peanuts and in one of our gorgeous wooden trays. You can’t go to a baseball game without some peanuts!

Ashley & Matt had the traditional head table for their wedding. A money saving tip is we reused the red pomanders from the ceremony for the head table and also all the bride & bridesmaid bouquets. I helped Ashley pick out the adorable “stone” vases to hold them. It brings in the bit of earthy garden feel.
