I’m a huge fan of Anthropologie! Sometimes on my inspiration day, I’ll head over there and browse around for hours absorbing all the inspiring and beautiful things there. When I found out they were launching their wedding line, I knew their wedding gowns are going to be fabulous! Introducing BHLDN
One of the things that makes Le Chic Wedding Consulting really stand out is our passion for design! We make recommendations and find unique ways to make your wedding stand out to swoon your guests. The details make such a huge impact on your wedding and the pictures! Here are some ideas on how you can dress up your aisle! All these fabulous items can be found in our wedding boutique! What’s great is we always encourage couples to decorate the aisle with items that can be transferred into the reception, then possible even used after to decorate your new home together!’
The large moss covered monogram is one of my favorite items in the boutique! Get these moss covered letters with the initial of you and your fiance and have each letter placed at the beginning of the aisle. You can even have your florist add a little bit of flowers to it to add a special touch. Later, have these transferred and placed either on your guestbook table, gift table, or even in front of your sweetheart table. Enjoy them after the wedding and hang them in front of your door, or even above your bed!
This extra large morrocan inspired lantern is beautiful at the beginning of the aisle. It is very chic! It also comes in different sizes, so if you get a smaller size, line the aisle with them!
These lanterns can be hung either on a shepard’s hook or placed on the ground lining the aisle. The extra large ones are perfect for the beginning and the end of the aisle or the smaller ones to line the aisle.
String the “love sweet love” burlap banner across the aisle before the ceremony starts. This is such a adorable touch but also prevents guests from walking down the aisle and wrinkling your aisle runner or bruising your flower petals!
Don’t forget to check out all of our burlap banners!
Almost every single wedding we do, there is a garter toss on the itinerary, but do you know why?
The garter toss is one of the oldest customs surviving wedding rituals. Commonly at French weddings in the 1500′s it was related to the concept of consummation of the marriage. The bridal party would approach the bride and the groom’s bedroom for proof that the deed was accomplished. They would then take an item of the bride’s clothing for good luck, often the garter used to hold up the bride’s stockings. The groomsman who retrieved the garter would then wear it in his hat for the remainder of the wedding celebration.
During the nineteenth century, as brides and grooms became uncomfortable with visitors in their chambers, the tradition evolved to that of the bride tossing her garter to the groomsmen before the end of the reception. However, the men would often become violent competing for the garter and would sometimes tear at the bride’s dress or even flip her upside down to take the garter off before she had a chance. Finally, the ritual changed to include the groom gaining full rights to the garter removal. This protected the bride from potential injury and put the onus on the groom to declare consummation of the marriage.
The Evolution of the Wedding Garter
The wedding garter itself has also changed over time. In the past, the typical garter was white lace. However, garters are now available in a variety of colours and styles, especially for the bride who wants even their garter to complement the décor of the wedding. You can find a great array of garters in those unique colors and styles at Le Chic Wedding Boutique. Most brides chose to wear a blue garter, in order to include the tradition of wearing “something blue” symbolizing good luck, fidelity and loyalty; symbolism originating from biblical times. Garters have also evolved in that they are now available in two piece sets. These sets allow a bride to wear both garters on her thigh. The groom removes the less decorative garter to toss and the other, more elaborate garter stays on the bride’s thigh. The remaining garter, also known as the keepsake garter can be saved and boxed with the wedding gown for sentimental purposes.
Even though the wedding garter toss ritual has changed somewhat over time, for some couples the tradition of wearing and tossing the garter is still one of the most anticipated events at a wedding. Conversely, for others who feel this tradition has become outdated, there are other alternatives available.
The more and more I go through the Le Chic Wedding Boutique all I can think is, “gosh, I love everything in here!” My two special picks of the week should be on the top of every girls list of cute accessories. The Anna Headband can make any outfit look chic and fun, wear it with your hair up or hair down, no matter how you wear the accessory just know that it will be fresh and romantic. I love the combination of the soft pink and natural colored feathers. My go to outfit to wear this with is a simple white tank top tucked into a denim high waisted pencil skirt, maybe a very simple necklace like the Cupcake Queen necklace and then finish the ensemble up with a cute pair of neutral colored flats that can be dressed up with my other fav, the Sunflower Yellow Chiffon Shoe Clip. I think shoe clips are such a brilliant invention, I have so many “well-used” flats that can now get a new life. The clips can be interchanged from shoe to shoe and they don’t have to be on just your flats, in the summer time you can dress up fancy slippers, put them on a pair of strappy wedges, or make your stilettos extra fierce! Oh, how cute would it be if each of your bridesmaids had a pair of chiffon shoe clips?! Imagine how fun the pictures could look! The possibilities are endless with just these two accessories. It is so easy to put a little pizazz in your daily wardrobe by adding the gorgeous handmade Anna Headband or the fun and flirty Sunflower Yellow Chiffon Shoe Clips to your arsenal. Come visit Le Chic Wedding Boutique for many more great bridal accessory ideas for your special event, party, or whenever!

One our clutch Designers Cady Briar gave me such a wonderful idea! She said that she knew a bride that did a “clutch toss” instead of the “bouquet toss”
One of the reasons why I think this is brilliant is because it’s guaranteed to have a full dance floor of very aggressive single ladies (and some maybe not so single) fighting to catch the clutch. I’ve had so many weddings that when Beyonce’s “All The Single Ladies” starts playing, the poor bride is up there waiting for the dance floor to fill up, and there is a measly two or 3 girls there (one of them usually 12yrs old and under).
So, like myself and yourself, you know that every girl loves bags and clutches! If you want a full dancefloor (which makes a much better picture and video footage) get your clutch ready!
We have amazing clutches for you to purchase in our boutique! Here are a few of my favorites by Cady Briar.
I had the absolute pleasure of getting the opportunity to interview Sasha Kollman at the Diamond Boutique in Del Mar, California. What is better than spending some time around sparkling baubles? I absolutely love the Diamond Boutique. They have such a wonderful collection of unique and dazzling diamonds and rings along with a very wide range of wedding bands for both men and women. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful.
P.S. Del Mar (if you have never visited is absolutely breathtaking and one of my favorite areas in San Diego. It’s such a hot spot for Destination Weddings to San Diego!)
I had the absolute pleasure interviewing with the girls at Bliss Bride in Del Mar, California. They are an adorable boutique bridal salon in San Diego. Visiting this store, you will have a truly blissful experience, since the boutique is reserved exclusively for the bride when you set an appointment. They carry exquisite designers such as, Christos , Claire Pettibone, and Vera Wang to name a few. We talked about what to expect when you are getting ready to go dress shopping, and the different style of dresses. I (Wynn Austin) had a chance to model the most stunning gowns (fresh off the runway!) What kind of girl would object to that!
The rich and famous celebrities are always chiming about how they are wearing Monique Lhuillier. How can you blame them. Her beautiful gowns are just stunning. I find them so classic and romantic but she is able to make them so modern. The good news is, Monique Lhuillier is designing a new collection for a streamlined audience and making her swoon-worthy gowns more affordable! Her collection will include wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and evening gowns!
“To bring my design sensibility to a larger demographic of women who seek glamorous, modern eveningwear is an important milestone for me,” –Monique Lhuillier
I stumbled upon this stuff on my first trip to the Big Apple! My hubby took me to New York for our first anniversary together. I absolutely loved it! When I was there, we stopped in Henri Bendel, the store was so glitzy and fabulous looking from the outside, I had no idea what they sell, but I had to go in. They actually had quite a bit of cool stuff, from fragrances, purses, makeup, everything that is close to a girls heart. That’s when a very friendly girl was showing us about this product called Per-fekt. I bought it and definitely give it 5 stars! It’s great for weddings for both the bride and the groom! Yes, you got that right, also for the groom. One thing I love about it is it locks in moisture and helps absorbs oil and does not rub off. If you are worried about your man looking shiny or sweaty on the big day (sorry honey…but I was) I would definitely get it for your groom! And after the big day, I just love using it anyway!
