I am beyond thrilled to share this timelapse video with you! The video was created by my wonderful friend Gene Higa of Gene Higa Photography. When Gene and I were brainstorming, I told him I had a wedding that was pretty unique in regards to the flow of the guests. My couple Joe & Darleen was married at The University Club Atop Symphony Towers and I came up with the idea of having the ceremony and the dinner reception in the same ballroom. The dancing was actually in the lounge. Gene thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do a timelapse video so the people can catch a glimpse of what goes on at a wedding before everyone arrives. It also has some pretty fun footage of my team and I running around, straightening the chairs, tying the bow to block the aisle, and setting down the aisle runner (the girls did an awesome job, that aisle was 55 feet long, and straight as a board) I know so many people are always so curious what happens behind the scenes, or they want to know, “what does a wedding planner do?” I hope this gives you a little bit of a glimpse inside my world. I had so much fun at this wedding and it was pretty exciting for me to get to relive it again today.
I love videos! Having a videographer for your wedding should be looked at differently than photography. I would never recommend to a client to get a videographer instead of a photographer. They are two completely different services and they serve a different purpose. Even as a wedding planner, when I see the videos of my client’s weddings, it just moves me and brings me back to their wedding day. Can you imagine how the couple would feel? I love this video highlight of Blake & Josh’s destination wedding to Del Mar & La Jolla by Everlasting Video! I love how you can hear their voices, see the moving ocean at Seagrove Park (one of my favorite spots in San Diego) and just witness the emotion.
Ryan Southwell Films takes my breath away every single time I see his work. He is SO talented, and he was able to capture Vanessa & Billy so beautifully! Enjoy the video highlight of this gorgeous couple at a gorgeous venue at The Rancho Bernardo Inn!
I was asked to be interviewed by NBC in anticipation for The Royal Wedding. It was such a fun experience and a little nerve racking to say the least! However, the table turned out beautifully and it was thanks to a team of amazing vendors for helping me out with this. I am forever so grateful for their continued support and amazing work!
We had such a pleasure meeting with the darling catering manager Anna Geiss-Travis of the Westgate Hotel in San Diego. Here is a quick mini-tour that we went on.
I can’t believe a year has past since our last featured wedding. It’s been such a phenomenal year and we have another featured wedding in San Diego Style Weddings. I am ecstatic for the launch party next week so we can see the new spread of our featured wedding, JP & Vikki and to share our tablescape “Key to My Heart” Fun things to Come!
Our last featured wedding was the beautiful Nikki & dashing Jake at The Rancho Bernardo Inn. I love this venue!
I had the absolute pleasure interviewing with the girls at Bliss Bride in Del Mar, California. They are an adorable boutique bridal salon in San Diego. Visiting this store, you will have a truly blissful experience, since the boutique is reserved exclusively for the bride when you set an appointment. They carry exquisite designers such as, Christos , Claire Pettibone, and Vera Wang to name a few. We talked about what to expect when you are getting ready to go dress shopping, and the different style of dresses. I (Wynn Austin) had a chance to model the most stunning gowns (fresh off the runway!) What kind of girl would object to that!
I absolutely had a blast working with Heather and Ed on their gorgeous wedding. The ceremony took place at The Immaculata USD. I remember getting the wedding party ready to walk down the aisle and Heather was just so happy and relaxed and could not wait to see Ed. She is such a happy and cheerful bride! We shared so many good laughs together! Their reception was at the US Grant in downtown San Diego. The one of a kind ballroom combined with Heather’s stunning taste resulted in a reception of pure eye candy! Check out the same day edit from the ever so talented team of NR3 Video Productions.
I was at The Knot Party at Scripps Seaside Forum this week and loved the decor! It was absolutely fabulous! In order to be on top of the wedding industry, I am constantly searching and looking for inspirations and ideas to share with my couples! Enjoy the video for some tips on how to make your beach wedding chic & unique!
