Trash the Dress Session is still “in session”

For those of you who don’t know what “Trash the Dress” is, it’s when you get to go do a photo session after the wedding and really get to have fun with it! The theory behind it is now you can really relax, not have to worry about time since on the wedding day, it is always about time (I’m usually the regulator).  You can do it in whatever setting you want.  I would say for the majority of couples in warm or tropical places, running into the ocean and rolling in the sand is definitely the most popular thing to do.  However, you don’t always have to trash your dress.  I’ve had couples just choose a different setting than their wedding.  Say, if they had a beach style wedding but for the “trash the dress” session they rather have an urban feel and run around downtown they can.  Or they can even go more rustic and have a “staged” session.  The whole point is to definitely have fun with it!

I saw the other day, online surfing where a couple decided to take their dress on their honeymoon to Italy and booked a photographer over there to do their “trash the dress” or sometimes it’s referred to as “encore” session.  I thought that was a fabulous idea!  I may have to put that in my pocket for an anniversary one year!

You may have seen wedding & video of my couple Billy & Vanessa (I know they are so good looking, you would think they are models!) but they are indeed a real couple.  They just finished their “trash the dress” session with the ever so talented Flavio Scorsato of Flavio Photography.  The pictures are awesome!
